A UCI - União Ciclista Internacional deu a conhecer a lista
completa de equipas, que irão constituir as categorias máximas na temporada de
estrada em 2023: 18 WorldTeams, 18 ProTeams e 15 Women’s WorldTeams.
Portugal irá contar com a continuidade dos mesmos sete ciclistas no
WorldTour: João Almeida, Ivo e Rui Oliveira na UAE Team Emirates, Nelson Oliveira e Rúben
Guerreiro (ex EF Education-EasyPost) na Movistar, André Carvalho na Cofidis e Rui
Costa (ex UAE Team Emirates) na Intermarché-Circus-Wanty.
Na categoria ProTeam, irá manter-se apenas um dos três ciclistas: Iúri Leitão na Caja Rural-Seguros RGA.
Entre as mudanças conta-se a descida para ProTeam das
equipas Israel Premier Tech, Lotto DSTNY e UNO-X, categoria onde se assinalam
as estreias da Bolton Equities Black Spoke, Q36.5 Pro, Corratec e Tudor. Na
lista das WorldTeams femininas destacam-se as entradas da Israel Premier Tech
Roland e da Fenix-Deceuninck.
